Toilers of the Sea, Antique 1890, Victor Hugo, Hardcover Books
For sale here is a wonderful 19th century literary find - Toilers of the Sea in two volumes by Victor Hugo. They are hardcover books with gold gilding and a publishing date of ©1890, published by "Little, Brown, and Company," stated "Library Edition." They each measure just under 7.5" by 5.25". The hardcovers have some wear as well as edge wear/chipping and bumped corners. The inside pages are nice for their age with no writing and just minor flaws. There is discoloring from age and a few small stains that I noticed. Nothing major, though. Binding is tight, however the frontspiece in volume one is loose (seen in pic).
