Doctor for the Zoo by Charlotte Mason Dickson, Vintage 1947, Hardcover Book
This is a very rare children's book! First and only edition. Very cute poems about what medical treatments would be given to different animals with physical ailments. Post WWII book with several references to the era including a duck trying to enlist with the Navy, but being rejected for flat feet, a seal and polar bear with typhoid (given ice baths), and a hippopotamus being given cod liver oil.
Hardcover has wear, staining, fading, and a tear to the paper at the spine on the top and bottom. Binding is tight and solid. Inside pages have bumped corners and a few dog-ears. All pages have ghosting from opposite pages.
